Any Handiaholics in/around Killeen, TX?
« on: May 30, 2010, 09:34:56 AM »
I will be working at Ft Hood all of next week and staying in Killeen. Interested in knowing where the gunshops and some good places to eat are located.  :)

Thanks, Dinny

When I was at Ft. Hood (yes they have Air Force there), there was a big pawn shop off the highway in Killeen that dealt in guns. My favorite was a small gun shop on the main strip in Coppera Cove. I can't vouche for them still being there, as I left in May 2009.

What do you mean they have AF there!? I'm Army and stationed at Scott AFB.  ;D ;)

I'll be sure to check out the pawn shops in town. If I get time, I will had over to Coppera Cove.

Well Dinny since your HOG NUTS you are in the right place. A bud of mine was stationed there about 10 years ago. He hooked up with some guys but they used knives I believe. He said you have to watch out for the rattle snakes :o

Maybe you can bring back a snakeskin hat for Lonnie ;D

Be careful out there ;)

I'm here in town now, man oh man is it warm here. I stopped at Guns Galore and they have a 7.62x39 Handi rifle that's still NIB for $259.99.

I'll send out some PMs here in a little while after I get something to eat.

Thanks, Dinny

to bad your only there a week, texas is real easy to fall in love with.  if it wern't for the old lady i'd still be there.  austin and h-town had some good shops in the late 90's, and just south of lampassas was exellant hunting country.  i'm thinking temple had a gun shop to, but that's been so long ago, it might just be the anthrax talking.  hope you enjoy your trip.

I'll shoot him a PM. I would like to have it reamed to 35 cal so I can hunt with it in IN. Too much $$ for me though, I could do the same with something else.

Thanks, Dinny

Every Pawn Shop in Texas has guns.......... ;)

I'm in the Houston area, and if you want Hot and Sticky, come on down here....... ::)

There is some good hunting on Ft. Hood, but I'm not sure if they allow any this time of year.  Too bad you are only here for a week or I'd get you hooked up on some hogs some how.

Not sure if there are any Bass Pro Shops up that way, but the new one down here has basic Handis for $249.00 NIB.  If you have access to the internet you can go to http://www.texasguntrader.com/ and do a search in that area of the State.

Hope this helps and Thanks for your Service!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the info and your gratitude. I'm enjoying the "dryer heat" here in Killeen. FWIW, I don't think it feels as hot as it actually is. :-\

Thanks, Dinny
