     New member here as of about 12 hours ago although I've been poaching the great information off this site for some time now.  You guys are a fantastic source of info.  Just wanted to let you H&R lovers know that CDNN Sports has the 45 Colt Carbine on clearance for $229.99.  I've got a good friend who has his FFL  and he's ordering one for each of us, you can't go wrong at that price.   Hope this is a help, I'll be talking to  you soon and let you know what it shoots like.

I called CDNN a few days ago and the guy said they had a lot of them in stock.  Not sure how many that means but I intend to order one very soon.  $230 plus $15 shipping and $10 transfer on my end should make for a fun plinker.

Mine is a 454/45LC now.  Can't wait to get out to the range and see what she can do with both varieties of ammo.  Got some 45LC handloads on the shelf and just got a box of Hornady 454s.  Hornady pistol test velocity is given as 1650, will be interesting to see how fast these go out of the handi barrel.  A 300 grain 452 bullet at say 1800 to 1850 would be great from such a compact and light weight little package.  :)
