My buddy took his 13 year old daughter out on saturday of the youth hunt weekend and got her a bird with 10" beard and 3/4' spurs. he sent me a pic on my cell phone. I replied "Tell her I'm jealous" To which he replied "So am I" This was the second year in a row she has gotten a bird. Kudos to all who get the kids involved in hunting.

I was with my son this last fall when he got his first buck, a spikehorn he was happy and I couldn't have been more proud. it really fired him up about deer hunting. Now we pick on him that he scored a whole 9 on Boone & Crocket, but now he feels like part of the gang at hunting camp.

As a hunter and hunter safety instructor in Catt co., I want to thank you guys for taking an interest in and taking kids out hunting. We neeed the next generation to take an interest..and what could be a better venue for parents and kids to share "special moments" ?

       Thanks guys...

Congrats to all the successful youngsters this spring on turkeys. My son got his first bird last week (I posted it on the Turkey Hunting forum). After he instinctively put the safety on and put the gun down I got the biggest hug ever and I think he is still smiling. Truly a "special moment" that I will cherish forever.
