Have you tried 55 grain 6mm/.243 Blitzking bullets?

Anybody tried the lighter bullets in their .243 or 6mm like the 55 grain Blitz King & such?  Are you getting good results?

I have a Stevens 200 in .243 with a 1-9.25 twist.  I am wondering if that is too fast for the light bullets.

Twist will probably be fine.Tried the 55 grain nosler BT in .243.Only decent load I found was slower start loads.Groups all opened up when I raised the charges.Good luck with it.

I use 55 Gr. Nosler BT's also.  My 1885 Lo-Wall gave excellent groups at what I consider extreamly high velocity.  Give them a try.

I had the same problem as Chutes, the only semi-accurate loads were "starters". Plus, the faster loads hit 6 to 8" higher than my regular deer and varmint loads. Does anyone have some loads they'd share, since none of my recipes are working? Thanks.

Yeah some load data would be nice. Also what twist are your barrels? Do the guys getting good results have similar BBL twist rates?

I bought a Kimber Montana for an above timberline marmot rifle, and shot 58 gr. v-max's at 3700 fps from it. It shot 5/8" groups at 100 yds off the bench. It was a ground hog killing machine. My longest shots on 'hogs were made with that rifle; two off the same rock an 562 yds. I sold it this winter to fund a Cooper .270. This rifle is consistently shooting 1/2" groups and I plan to break the 600 yard mark on 'hogs with it this year.

I once had a 243 AI and the 55g was all it would shoot with any accuracy. I had to really heat them up to get those good groups. They chronographed 4350 fps. Can you say short barrel life?

I've got a Savage 110 in .243 with the same 1:9.25" barrel.  It shoots the 58gn V-max great.  I have some Ballistic Slivertips and Blitzkings that I want to try out but haven't gotten around to it.  The V-max bullets shoot great.  I haven't shot groups with them but my rifle wears a light sporter barrel that heats up quickly.  20 rounds fired for groups can easily take over an hour letting the barrel cool.  The loads that I have shot groups with have almost all been under an inch for 4 rounds.  The Savage just shoots.  I practice by shooting 20oz soda bottles full of water at various ranges out to around 400yds. The 58gn Vmax were good for first shot hits on soda bottles out to the 350yds that I tried the at.  They hit like a hammer; you can hear the bullet smack the bottle at that range.  I can't believe that the Blitzkings would behave differently.

I shoot excellent groups with 58g V maxes in my superlight handi. I use a reduced load with Blue Dot. Don't have a chrony, but I have the impression they are traveling at about 22 hornet velocities.

I tried some in my Interarms Mauser action 24" bbl. rifle.  Groups were very good, about 3/4", with load data muzzle velocity close to 4K fps.  First crow I shot with them looked like a black pillow exploding and I got really tickled.  The crows feet were still clutching the powerline!  Thats all, just the feet.  Feral dogs?  None left in my neighborhood.  Feral cats ( trashbag neighbor USED to have about 50)?  Not!
