Hi guys, am going to be shooting Triple 7 on upcoming deer hunt.. As newcomer to Black Powder Hunting, was wondering how long it takes for corrosion to set in a fired (fouled) barrel of Triple 7. Appears muzzleloaders are much like rifles in that generally flyers are encountered on first couple of shots with a squeaky clean bore. I live in Illinois and our muzzleloader season starts on a thursday and ends on sunday. Thought about firing a fouling shot through on Wednesday night, and not cleaning bore until i get a deer or sunday night, whichever comes first (probably Sunday if history repeats itself;). Assume corrosion would set in barring this idea, but thought i'd check with guys that know. Anyway, your thoughts are appreciated on how long can let go before cleaning with this particular powder. thanks.
