Gov't health care
« on: March 18, 2010, 05:07:10 PM »
Forget about tax increases, death panels, spending our childrens inheritance,......and the other talking points, think about the service we will get.
Imagine standing in line at the post office or the DMV with a broken leg or a dislocated shoulder while the waiting line winds around the extend-a-barriers and out the door into the parking lot. After three hours you finally get to the crabby gov't worker and are told you are at the wrong building, this one is for family planning, the one you need is three blocks away but they close at five so you will have to come back tomorrow.

I can hardly wait >:(

Anyone that has seen the legislature at work and still wants government health care deserves it.

Why the heck do you think they dont want it for themselves?

Well let's say that best case scenario it winds up like the troop medical clinic on military bases. Say goodbye to a primary care; you'll be drawing from the pool of whomever is on duty today. No medical malpractice. No choice of medications. 8 hour waits in emergency care. Mandated shots. Routine loss of records. 6 month waits to see a specialist. I'm happy to have it, but I know it falls short of what's available in the private sector, and I doubt the govt model will be as good since the patient population at a TMC has fitness requirements which reduces the need for certain levels of care.

I'm still wondering what's up with this business about Osama wanting to cut those of us who are into the Senior Advantage plan.  I guess when something is working very well it's not to be tolerated.

Will all doctors and nurses become federal employees? If not, I doubt that it will reach the level of incomptence of the VA hospital system.
