Congrats GH. I have 8 grandchildren, and almost never get to see them. It is a gift these grandchildren we are given. I wish it were different.

Congratulations Grandpa.  Now go give Grandma and Mama a kiss, they deserve it.

GH1 :)

Your fun is just beginning. I've enjoyed my grandkids a great deal. They run from 18 to 25 years old. Now I have a 22 month old great grand daughter. I believe she is the most fun of all, probably because I have more time to spend with her than I did with any of the grand kids.

Well congratulations Grandpa!

Grandchildren are a blast................. then you send em home to mom and dad!  :D

Grandkids are the reward for not strangling our kids...... ;D

Yea once they get 12 or 13 its best to smother em with a pillow! but if you forget, then you get grandkids, So its too late to smother them. Cause you need somewhere to send the spoiled grandkids to!

No can do, they're in Chicago & I'm in Memphis. :( My wife & I decided it would be more beneficial for us to split our visits up, that way there'd be someone to lend a hand for a longer period of time.
Thanks for all the well wishes everyone.

Congratulations!

I have three grandchildren ranging in age from 5yrs old to a 4month old and the Daughter In Indiana is expecting her first in May.

The two of us (The Wife & I) have turned into 13 of us to include the sil's & dil. Had them all here at the house last Fri eve through Sun afternoon as they had a baby shower for the expecting Mom.

Dont ask me about my grocery bill!

Now you will need a bigger wallet, not for money but all those grand kids pictures that you will need to dig out when some one starts bragging about theirs. 7 gk and 3 great grand kids. Nice part you can spoil them and then send them home to let mom and pop deal with them. we really enjoy ours. Congratulations Grand paw. O forgot now you can teach them to hunt and fish, of course you will have to wait for that but it comes quicker than you think :)

That's the nice thing about Grandkids.  They come to visit you can spoil the heck out of them.  Then when they reach the point where you want to put a pillow over their heads and smoother them you send them home.

And then we wonder why our Kids limit the number of visits the Grandkids can make to Grandma and Grandpa's house.
