the pendulum swings back
« on: March 13, 2010, 05:08:06 AM »
judging by this article, there are some educators that are NOT trying to brainwash the next generation into dopey lemmings (an issue that comes up a lot in this forum).  long story short lots of people are crying about conservative ideals being included in "revisionist" new text books on social studies.

Gotta take each small victory we can. Then keep adding them up and maybe we can see a little ray of hope.  :) Steve

Sad that such a debate is going on in Texas, there it should be a given to uphold good values. The same process needs to go on in the areas outside the south east states. eddie

Looks like the movers and shakers in TX BOE decided to out Thomas Jefferson.

Yes, the Sauronic imbeciles that make up a majority of the Texas Board of "Education" have just voted to removed mention of Thomas Jefferson, Author of the Declaration of Independence, third President of the United States, and better human being than all of these losers added together when teaching the Enlightenment's impact on social change.  Thomas Aquinas and John Calvin, neither of whom are Enlightenment figures, were added. But heck, that's just endorsing bad history and we shouldn't let no silly facts get in the way of these self-righteous 'conservative' hacks.

Hopefully this won't affect the quality of Texas football.

The Problem with Texas is, Austin, is the San Francisco of the south. Houston and Dallas are leftist meccas as well so we have our problems.  ::)

I remember after the last election I read where the left wingers were upset that the rural areas did not vote for obama, and were gonna concentrate their efforts  to get more country folk to see things from their point of view.

I'm so waiting for that to happen!!!!!!  >:(

with what, rhetoric?  country folks have things like outdoor hobbies and jobs to stay busy enough to avoid constant television bombardment.

Yep with rhetoric, what else do they have?  door to door, ranch to ranch, farm to farm, When they get to this place, its gonna open up a whole new venue for them to hate conservatives!

I have a 100 yard drive way back to the house, its gonna be a long way to back out !

tires or windshield... nevermind, don't answer.

three left outposts huh, I didn't know that it was that bad.  as far as I know my state only has two (only has two cities!).  hopefully this recession will cause the city libs to all off each other and leave the electorate open to the full scrutiny of rural missouri in 2012.  we have that ***** emmanuel cleaver that needs to get his affirmative action self outta here asap, maybe ike skelton too (he went lefter and voted for healthcare overhaul and the climate bill).
