Marlin 308 lock up
« on: March 11, 2010, 05:05:25 PM »
I started reloading my 308 and on a few rounds the level would not quite lock up. I'm guessing that I need to bump the case shoulder back some more?

You may need to adjust your bullet depth. What bullet are you using? Did you check the case length and is this new brass. more info would be helpful... ;D

For once fired brass, you may not be bumping the shoulder back far enough, but insufficent lube in the case mouth will cause the sizing ball to pull the case length back when it is withdrawn giving you the same problem. Concentrate on these two items first for new or once fired brass.
