If your in tall grass, or knee deep muddy water it is. Are you serious?

I have owned 8 of them, and accuracy was mediocre at best. I glass bedded the last four, and done trigger jobs. With these two things the rifle steps up, and is pretty good. Sometimes the magazines are hard to find, but the accuracy is improved. I actually prefer the mini14 in the way of looks, and handling, but accuracy will not match the AR type rifles.

Tell about it my Mini 30 slings brass a ways.
But there are some ways to fix this problem. You can swap out the gas bushing until you find
the one you want , or you can install a tuneable gas block.
Mine will soon be wearing the latter from these folks.

You need a brass catcher, I use a ball cap attached to the scope and let it hang down and either catch or deflect the brass down. My 6.8 will throw brass about 20 feet otherwise.

Any mini I ever fired shot brass about 20 feet, and put a nice dent into every case mouth almost to the point I couldn't reload em.

Yup. At the range you need to use the far right shooting station because that brass flies.
