Just had a brief on human trafficking aka slavery. There are an estimated 27 million slaves at work today, way more than all the slaves counted in the 400 years of European/US slave trade combined. Many of them but not all are in the sex industry. Many are in Muslim countries, probably most. But there are many in the US. Chances are if you indulge in porn, you have supported indirectly human trafficking.

The US porn industry is heavily scrutinized and looked at.  They have heavy health screening requirements and the actors are in far too much of a public spotlight to engage in human trafficking activities.  Drug use is pretty rampant, but trafficking is not.  You  have a slight chance to encounter a trafficked girl at a strip club, but by far the most common place for these girls are illegal brothels. 

Saying that porn supports human trafficking is about like saying that buying guns causes gang violence.  Sure there is a vague resemblance, but not once you really look at it.

Blacks enslaving blacks,is one of those piece's of history, that has been long taken out of the text books. And the lib's and blacks do not want it known. Louis Farakan still thinks the sharks swim the trade routes of the slave ships from the dead darkies being thrown overboard on the way here in the 1600-1700 hundreds. MGM, my facts come from DOD, DHS, FBI and State Dept. I work for a 3 letter agency with a related mission. While US based porn is scrutinized, some 18000 folks are trafficked into the us as part of the sex trade. And most porn is from outside the us, especially on the Internet. Fact is, the two go hand in hand, as documented by all federal enforcement agencies.

27 million slaves right now today worldwide and that's based on what we know. I'm not impressed by all the folks who tout the civil rights movement as this great success, then go home and look at girls on the Internet who are enslaved in brazil, Africa or eastern Europe to feed their lust. And strip clubs and prostitution are barely a half step above indentured servitude. That's just society making it glamorous.

TM7, do you think that quote from Leviticus is still operational today? As TeamNelson observed , most "slavery" today comes from Muslim nations, and spread throughout the rest of the world. Muslims were the ones selling blacks to the slave traders who brought them to the US. Most "sex slaves" today originate in Muslim countries, or countries with large populations of them. Why? Because Muslims operating under Sharia Law since the 7th century still believe that women and girls are "property", IMHO. Of course, they are not the only ones, but I say give credit where credit is due.....

I'm curious too about TM7's response on leviticus.

Just wanted to suggest that folks google Muslim science; a few years back, a Muslim biologist in Canada published in an academic journal that he had proven that women were a different species. This was well received all over the Muslim world, as it validated a common belief. As it was explained to me by a Muslim scholar from their seminary in Cairo, women are treated best in Islam because they are cherished property of their family, and everyone treats their cherished property best, like a prize horse! (I think he thought that would make sense.)

But as pman alluded to, they're not the only ones who don't seem to value their women.
