45-70 length? what's available

What differnt length's can i get for my H&R 45-70 handi?
A NICELY PLACED SHOT, IS THE BEST LOOKING THING THROUGH A HIGH POWERED SCOPE

I hunt mostly and usually only punch paper to sight in or check sights.  That's why my .45-70 is 22 inch.  I don't believe that in the .45-70 you loose a heck of a lot with the 22 inch.  The 32 inch can be cut and re-crowned to whatever you've got an itch for.  For me, the 32 is too long and heavy for woods work.  I'm happy with the shorter one.  If I do my part, it drives tacks at 200 yards.  The real answer is the .4570 is a great rifle.  Enjoy it.

The longer barrel only has merit if you are target shooting with iron sights with black powder.  For a hunting rifle the 22 inch is handyer for carry especially in heavy timber.  I have a 22 inch one for hunting.  I have long barreled sharps rifles for target work.

Nick you must not hunt open fields or prairie.  The long barreled 45-70 has plenty of use in hunting....
If he's carrying a singleshot, don't expect a warning shot!
