Shipping a rifle or action?
« on: February 28, 2010, 05:32:07 AM »
I am thinking of selling my H&R rifle. If I sell the whole rifle or part it out, can I ship the rifle or action to a firearms dealer, or do I need to get a dealer to ship. Thanks, Don

This is from the classified rules here on GBO:

http://www.gboreloaded.com/forums/index.php/topic,160612.msg1098714407.html#msg1098714407

Firearms and ammo ads may be posted. Everyone posting ads in the Classifieds will be required to follow all Federal, State and local laws concerning firearms and ammo sales and shipment. It is YOUR SOLE RESPONSIBILITY to comply with all applicable laws related to sale and shipment of firearms and ammo. Based on a personal inquiry to BATFE asking if I could ship a firearm directly to an FFL in another state to transfer ownership I was told NO I COULD NOT LEGALLY DO SO. Therefore it is the understanding of GBO Management that you should not ship out of state other than FFL to FFL. So if you place a comment in your ad that the buyer's FFL must be willing to accept shipment from an individual your ad will be deleted. If you don't agree then don't post them here.
