Offset hammer attachments
« on: February 22, 2010, 12:41:15 PM »
Put a Weaver K2.5 on my .45 LC BC carbine, and find I need the offset thingy to cock the hammer. They appear on the H&R1871 Web site under accessories, but there is no price info. Anyone know what these go for? Alternatively, anyone have one they can spare for a few leaves of cabbage? My parts bin includes one for a Marlin, but not a Handi.

You can pick them up in most well stocked gun shops.  About $7 last time I bought one.  Buy a couple, you will need them when you get the bug and buy more Handi's!  44 Man

The H&R hammer extension is made by Uncle Mike's, it's the same as for the Ruger Blackhawk, see the FAQs for the Uncle Mike's part number and an online source.  ;)

Are you stalking me?  ;D I just did the same arrangement this evening myself and used the Uncle Mikes setup which worked perfectly.

PS Please excuse me whilst I watch "Bring Me The Head Of Alfredo Garcio" to settle my nerves..............................  ;D

If you have an Academy sports nearby, you can get them in the H&R wrapper.  I think I paid about $6.50 for the hammer extension, and about $19.95 for the H&R scope rail and extention packaged together.
