This is a favorite tactic of murderous cowards. But I think in this case we set it up so they could do that. I say this because we gave them several days notice that we were coming. Now we are faced with many, many IED's and other booby traps and ambushes.   We told the civilians to leave but many didn't or couldn't. We now have civilians, willingly or not, being used by the Taliban. We put our troops in increased danger by announcing our plans in advance. This is crazy if you want to win a war.

The Godless ones have always hid behind women and babies, human life means nothing to them. They intentionally do this hoping for civilian casualities so they can cry FOUL. Israel finally told them that if they do this the blood of innocents will be their fault, we should do the same. There should have been no warning, no amnesty, just kill them. POWDERMAN.  >:( >:(

im not sure thats fact friend..now they couldn t tell all the people to leave ..if they had done that
the enemy would be winning this battle in the area possibly..
but i kinda suspect they are not showing there full hand of cards..
a winning strategy for them would be to let the marines take the battle grnd .. turn it over to
the afgans an leave.. then spring the trap as soon as there is no u.s. presense there..
the days when the U.S. could fight for freedom all over the globe are in my opinion over..
its time our men were brought home.. theres plenty enough of a fight for freedom,, here in the states.. jmo. slim

On a news show last night they actually had al jazeera reporting. All they talked about was the killing of innocents. Not one word about the Godless sobs hiding behind them or holding up babies while they tried to kill our allies and us. And some folks here wonder why I call them Godless, subhuman scum. Why everyone here seems so appalled about a former U.S. ALLY, behavior is a mystery to me. Those "stinger missiles" and millions upon millions of rounds of ammo that the Taliban fired at what used to be the Soviet Union came from none other than, the U.S, and Ronald Reagan. WE! Empowered the Taliban. WE! Gave them the muscle.
My youngest son done a tour in Afghanistan, and two tours in Iraq, and talked about this happening at the end of EACH TOUR. That's what they do. They use CIVILIANS. Problem is most civilians ALLOW THEMSELVES to be used.
WE! Thru George Hubert Walker Bush, former head of the CIA, and later under Ronald Reagan, put Saddam Hussein in power in Iraq. Saddam was trained for this job in the School of the Americas in Ft. Benning, Ga. All this is historically recorded fact.
The Palestinians have been using this tactic for years. IT WORKS!
America's problem is that it has laid down with so many dogs over the years, it can't figure out, WHERE IT GOT THE FLEAS.
You cannot have it both ways gentlemen. You cannot support the terrorist when he is fighting YOUR enemy, and condemn him, when someone else is supporting him, when he is FIGHTING YOU. It's hypocritically, ethically, and morally nonsensical. Yet, the U.S. government continues to meddle, and the voters continue to support them, and condemn one, and praise another, and just like the government, change horses (terrorist groups) when it's suits them.

what the neocons want tm is the same thing the russians wanted in afghanistan, an oil pipeline to the sea. and yes dee we did make osama. whether some think we as a nation are pure in history or simply justified in our actions will not change what we have done or what is comming to us. but what needs to be remembered is that we, for the most part have done these things to ourselves. most of us are mushrooms, kept in the dark and fed on sh*t by our government. i wonder if that adage, ignorance is bliss dosen't apply here. this world runs for money and power, and the lust thereof. that will never change. follow the money.

I suppose that's one way of lookin at it slim, but the end, doesn't always justify the means. God says: Ye shall know them by their fruits. And I think everyone pretty well knew going in, what the Taliban was, back in the days of the Soviet Union.
It was ok by everyone HERE, when they were doin it to the Russians, but no one HERE, likes it now that their doin it to us, and think it's just awful, and barbaric. You most times get back, what you put in.

google ft. jackson, sc, or 09 lima. reporting is real fuzzy. Evidently these are native language interpreters, MOS 09L (that's an army job specialty). They're not a cleared specialty (see below). Just found out that Ft. Jackson is where they go for ESL courses before they go to Basic training. Some recruiter needs to be flogged.

The length of your stay will depend on the level of your English language proficiency. Once you have successfully completed this, you must attend and successfully complete nine weeks of Basic Combat Training (BCT) where you will learn the basic skills necessary to become a Soldier. our 1980's foreign Policy -

Hey Iraq here are some weapons to go fight Iran.
Hey Iran Iraq has a bunch of weapons.
Hey Iraq Iran knows about the weapons.

and past administrations did the same thing in Latin America.

On June 9, 1992, Ted Koppel reported on ABC's Nightline, "It is becoming increasingly clear that George Bush, operating largely behind the scenes throughout the 1980s, initiated and supported much of the financing, intelligence, and military help that built Saddam's Iraq into" the power it became",[5] and "Reagan/Bush administrations permitted – and frequently encouraged – the flow of money, agricultural credits, dual-use technology, chemicals, and weapons to Iraq."

Dee's comment "America's problem is that it has laid down with so many dogs over the years, it can't figure out, WHERE IT GOT THE FLEAS."

Is spot on!!!!!!

Aesops Fables

THE FARMER AND THE VIPER

One winter a Farmer found a Viper frozen and numb with cold, and out of pity picked it up and placed it in his bosom. The Viper was no sooner revived by the warmth than it turned upon its benefactor and inflicted a fatal bite upon him; and as the poor man lay dying, he cried, "I have only got what I deserved, for taking compassion on so villainous a creature."

The moral is that kindness is wasted on evil.

Of course we didn't care when they were doing it to the Russians.  IMO whatever the US does to wipe out terrorist is not only good but righteous.

In this case the end justifies the means.  They are the devils minions.

the 09limas are typically unclearable because they are foreign born or first generation from a hostile nation, and are assigned to units for interface with locals and culture classes. I went to soi with an Iraqi who was mad that I was selected to be an Arabic linguist and he was a truck driver. I pointed out how it probably had something to do with his ineligibility for clearance and then I vaguely remember saying something about his generally worthless state ... good thing we were doing hand to hand that day.

There is only one Arabic, and they all agree, from the Quran. What we call dialects they call languages, to preserve the uniqueness of Arabic. The Wahabia use the highest form and look down on other Muslims for their dirty languages.

The lord mayor of Kabul, Hamid Karzai, is urging NATO to go easy on his beloved Taliban.
The US and NATO are fighting a politically correct war in Afghanistan that we cannot win.  It is time to pull the troops out and turn the place into an impact area for cruise missiles and Hellfire missiles fired from Predator drones.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100220/ap_on_re_as/as_afghanistan

Quote
The Marjah operation is a major test of a new NATO strategy that stresses protecting civilians over routing insurgents as quickly as possible. It's also the first major ground operation since President Barack Obama ordered 30,000 reinforcements to Afghanistan to curb the rise of the Taliban.

................................................
The offensive had been moving slowly due to stubborn Taliban resistance and strict NATO rules aimed at limiting casualties among the estimated 80,000 inhabitants of the town.

Troops cannot call in airstrikes to clear snipers from buildings if they believe civilians are inside. Troops cannot fire on suspected insurgents unless they are seen carrying a weapon or discarding one.

TM7 we were discussing Biblical terms regarding the Palestinians. The land they occupy originally belonged to Israel if you believe the Bible, and much more than is claimed than today. It was promised to them by God. Once again. IF you believe the Bible.
God makes no menition Palestinians as we know them today, but calls all of them (non-Jewish, and non-Christian) ARABS.

It's not just what the Bible calls them. It's what they call themselves. I just found out a few weeks ago from someone first hand. A manager I was talking to while making a delivery was born in Germany while his father was in the service and he stayed there till he was 14. They ended up going back when he was 17 as his dad took a job as a contractor. I asked him how many languages he knows how to speak. He said 4. Then we got to talking about his wife who also speaks 4 languages but 4 different ones, not counting English. He said that his wife can speak Arabic, but then he told me something very interesting about the Arabic language. The written Arabic language is the same in every country, if it's Saudi, Dubai, Tunisia or whatever. It is the spoken Arabic language that is different.
As fortune would have it later that same day I made a delivery to another store. The manager at that store was in fact from Tunisia. He in turn did verify what I was told about spoken vs written language. He also told me that it the west that looks upon the Arabic peoples as being from different countries. To them they are all Arabic period. The funny lines on the maps are just funny lines on a map to them.

Not only the Bible says the Israelites were the sole possessors of that land 2,000 years ago but scientific archaeology backs the Bible up,(as if the Bible needed it).
There were no 'Palestinians" in 70 AD, when Jerusalem was destroyed and the Jews driven out. After that climactic event, the Romans, in an effort to wipe out any recollection of Israel, renamed the area "Palestina". The people now claiming that area are a conglomeration of people from Syria, Jordan and other ME nations along with a sizeable portion which the terrorist, Yassir Arafat brought with him from North Africa.
Prior to the time Arafat arrived, Israel and the surrounding people got along quite well, involved in all types of commerce, from fruit & crafts to auto repair.
Once Arafat arrived and used blind religion as a wedge to stir up the "refugee" camps, much of this cordial relationship ended. One should know that the "refugee" camps did not need to exist! Some forget that the surrounding Islamic countries posess 500 times the land area that Israel does, and many of the "refugees" were from those very countries originally. Why was it so very difficult for the surrounding Islamic nations to take their "brothers" in..or in some cases, back home ?
What would we call the people who lived in the land after the diaspora? They were squatters or tenants, holding the land until Israel returned to claim it (whether they knew it or not). Many did live peacefully in Jerusalem and environs long after the Jews retook their land. Then Arafat moved in and started trouble. As far as the "Palestinian" people, their history as a nation opf people goes no farther back than the refounding of Israel in 1948..if that.
As far as America is concerned, if the Bible said RAZA or reconquista had a right to reclaim this land, they may have a case...but I cannot find such a reference. If RAZA & reconquista were valid movements, then there is scarcely a nation in the world which would have a "right" to it's territory, since all have been fought over and changed hands many times in past millennia.
Israel is a special and different case from all other nations, although I can understand the emotions of an unbeliever or the thought process of those who reject the truths of the Bible. To an unbeliever, it may well appear very unfair...but so do stupidcide bombings and other terrorist acts.

If you don't want the truth, don't ask me.  If you want something sugar coated...go eat a donut !  (anon)

TeamNelson;
I am surprised that interpretors aren'ty a cleared classification. Wow ! Having to deal with the various offshoots of middle east Arabic..sounds like trying to opfficiate at the Tower of Babel !

Muslim groups keep using an excuse that the koran cannot be properly translated...wonder which of the many differing, Arabic dialects they print their "Holky Koran" in ...and is one v ersion of Arabic "Holier" than another ?

Yup,  same with the Bible,,,,Aramaic to Greek, Latin, 50 English translations...then there is the Cannon and the banned Gospels.  Whadaya goin to do...?

Yep: Man has continuously fiddled with the Bible and the word of God.
