Need a Laser sight

For my 10/22...I was looking for something inexpensive to mount on one of my 10/22's (make it a little easier to kill Armadillo's)....suggestions anyone. Anyone used the Sightmark brand??

have you considered a red-dot, too?

FWIW...i find there, sometimes, is conflict between using the laser and the sighting device on the firearm itself; the red-dot becomes the ONLY aiming source.

Update:   I just bought one of the NC Star green laser sights that attaches to the barrel...got it sighted in. I absolutely love it...what ever you put that green light on...it hits!!. I like it much better than any scope i've ever had.

I believe the green ones have less wash in the daylight---could be wrong though---and are typically more expensive than the red ones.

I would like to have a red dot that I could see in bright light, but they are expensive.

On a bright day i've seen it at 4-500 yards...it's a very strong light and at night you can see the beam all the way out to the end...the green is beautiful at night and very powerful and effective. I got it from Optics Planet, and it's the best $69 (free shipping) i've spent in awhile.

I didn't mention the adjustment features but it's real easy to adjust this one because the adjustment screws are at the end of the tube...has one screw (hex tool furnished) for up/down and one screw for left/right. The pressure switch mounts anywhere you want it to (for me it was on the fore stock) and it works very good.

The only limitations to these lasers is they wont work when it's really cold. A buddy came over a couple of weeks ago and I was anxious to show it to him and let him shoot it, so when we walked out side it wouldn't work...it dawned on me that the instructions said it would work below a certain temp (can't remember..but it has to be pretty cold). We took it inside for a few minutes and put it by a small electric heater for about 3 min and then it worked great when we went back out. Trust me...it makes shooting a lot more fun. If any of you guys get one...post it here....Dave
