« on: February 12, 2010, 03:22:14 PM »
Just bought this beauty off Gunbroker with the knurled forearm nut,I thought the knurled nut was a neat idea, going to make some more for some of my other rifles. It is in 30-30 cal.
As soon as some of this white stuff goes away,Iam going to do some shooooting big time.  :) ;D :) ;D

Very nice, even the pic of the snow!  I might have to make me up some of those too.

Nice rifle Tom Got one of those in a model 157 30-30 full mannlicher so the knurled nut won't work as well on that but
do have a couple others it would. Isn't this snow great? Missed my chance on the 2cd so now we have to wait,  Fred

You could have a new business opportunity there.  I'd certainly try one of those if you were to sell them.  44 Man

That's why I like the Survivor forearm, it's great for a quick takedown set up.

That way it'll fit in a shorter case.

I really like that brass knob! Add a little knurling or a large slot and I'll buy one for my BC. You could leave the threaded section a little long and those of us that use the o-rings could fit them to our rifles for the amount of fore end pressure we like.

I'm a big fan of the 30-30 handi. I've loaded up a whole bunch of 180grn rndnose to play with this spring. Not to worry, the bullets were free, and unless they show me something they will just be range fodder.
