Grrr :(
« on: February 02, 2010, 07:00:15 PM »
Don't you hate it when you miss a deal?  Went onto Bud's Gun Shop last night.  I've been itching for a new 9mm and for some reason I'm really hankering for something striker fired and polymer framed.  They had the S&W Sigma 9mm's for $299 shipped!!  WITH a $50 mail in rebate.  AWESOME I think.  I been wanting a S&W for a while anyways, and it fits the bill.  I don't want to just pick an FFL from the list to ship to though without contacting him, making sure they're still around, and confirming that they can transfer.  So I send the email.  Don't hear back until 3pm this afternoon.  Not a problem - all is well with the FFL.  I promptly go to place my order . . . and the darned things are gone off the site.  Not listed as out of stock (though I'm guessing that's what happened).  Just gone.  The still have the 10-round mag versions for Cali, but for that "privilege" the price jumps to $339.  I'd gotten set enough in the purchase that I'd probably have paid the $339 for the same gun if they'd just went off sale, but I ain't gonna pay more and get artificially limited mags :(.

Call em up and ask, who knows they may still have what you want. Worst that can happen is they say no.  :D

Regards,

Thanks. I might do that once lunch rolls around today.  Tried yesterday but didn't get an answer.  Who knows.  The rebate is good up through April so they might get them back in.  If the regular price isn't much above the $299 sale price I might still get one when they come back around.  I don't technically NEED it - I already have 2 other 9mm's of similar size/weight - I just want a new toy to take the range sometimes :).
