Try a Dangerous Dave the Old West Scrounger at
http://www.ows-ammunition.com/
. Log on to the website an pull up their phone number and call them and speak to Dave. Dave use to have a pair 16 inchers for gate posts. Dave may not have any but ask him where to get them.
There use to be a fellow in the Spokane area who sold this stuff. Maybe someone will see this post and and recall who it is.

Dave's shells were 14 inch, at least when the store was in the Bay Area. But I will give him a try anyway. I tried to buy one from the U.S.S. North Carolina, they had a huge pile out back, but the would not sell. Other leads are appreciated.

It may be worth your while to place an want ad in the Seattle,Washington
newspaper.
Many of the battleships were mothballed in that area after WW2.
About 5 years ago I was in Seattle for several days,I saw large projectiles at several junk shops in the area.

speaking of large calibers. I've come upon a 76mm shell casing marked 76mm T19E1B1........Lot....EPO-4-41....and in very small type next to the threaded primer hole are the numbers 7-53. It's a bottle necked case with the typical rust free coating/plating that was used during WWII. Anyone with info about this round? It stands 23" tall and is made of steel without a ding or pit.....immaculate!!

Try Macks Gun shop in Savannah Ga. (912) 964-8831, ask for Tony or Joe. Ask about the "thing" out front, about 12" x 40" with rifle marks on the driving band.
