I've have some info to share and then a few questions

:
I have a Browning BPS Hunter 12 gauge. Nothing fancy. No scroll-work. Just black with wood, and I luv it ! I'm a leftie too.
Using this BPS for trap shooting. No league use yet; just visiting the practice range every few weeks to pop some clays. My son is trying out trap shooting too now. He is not a leftie.
Question concerns methods of loading the BPS for trap.
The old sequence I had used was:
- Slide forward
- Load tube with shell
- Hit slide release and Slide back
- Wait for turn to shoot
- Slide forward
- Shoot
This was sometimes frustrating. When wearing thin gloves (Winter shooting), sometimes the glove would get caught in the loading tube. Sometimes the shell would fall out. Just wasn't ideal, and was complicated.
New sequence we're using now:
- Slide is already back from previous shell ejection
- Turn BPS upside down with flick of the wrist
- Set shell on opening
- Slide forward (shell drops from gravity)
- Ready to shoot
Only two slides. One on eject, one on load. No need to use slide release latch anymore.
OK....enough on the info.
What are your opinions on the best way to load the BPS for trap?
I do NOT have the "BPS Trap" version, but wish I did sometimes. I heard they have a special switch that disables the shell elevator and keeps it out of the way. That would be ideal!
Is there a modification I can do that would allow me to easily remove that shell elevator and turn my BPS into a single-shot pump?
I really like the BPS. My Son is finally big enough to handle it well and pop those clays too.

Thanks for all your valuable feedback !!!
