New tome 45/70

Well i guess i have done it, i was high bidder on a HW (06) BC
I have always said if i buy something at an auction it is because i paid
too much. Best i can figure it will cost me $260.00 to $275. buy the time
i get it in my hot little paws.
Feel just like a new bride, hope it is as good as i've been told. :o ;D

Congrats.

I am sure with a little TLC and patience and some 405 Remmy's you will love it, if this site says anything at all to quality of the 45-70!

I saw that one too Rex, but I'm not into long barrels and metal butt plates...lazy and cowardly.  No seriously, I couldn't use the sights.  I wish I could.  By the way, how's the ejector .45-70 shooting?

the ejector is doing fine, 1 1/2lbs of lead shot in the plastic stock and it does well
but the 325gr hornady plastic tips still give an accounting of themselves.
I don't know what i'm going to do with the BC but have wanted one since i first
saw one. Guess the old wore out extractor is doing well.

That barrel always shot the LEs well, as does yours now mine.  As soon as some of this #*&^$%#$#@ snow gets out of here they'll all get a workout.  Now ya need snowshoes to get to the target.
