29-2 Gunshow Acquisition
« on: January 15, 2010, 01:51:52 AM »

Scored a mid 70s 29-2 the other night.

Owned several over the years, including the 629s, but let them all go in fits of stupidity.  This one's gonna go to an heir!

That sure is purdy!

I've managed to hold onto mine over the years.
I got one with the 8+ inch barrel.
Took a deer with it one winter.

My arthiritis doesn't let me shoot it much anymore.
I think I have a grandson who has spied it and put it on his want list.

I had 2 model 29s with 6 1/2" barrels, and sold them both. I kept an early 3 screw gun with 8 3/8 barrel and coke bottle grips. I am going to shop for a 4", which I have never owned. I need a long barreled 27 also, Shotgunner

I sold mine too.  A fit of stupidity is a good way to describe it.  I sold the 29 and a model 66 and have been kicking myself since.

Is your new 29 nickel plated?  The picture looks stainless. ???

Nickel.  I didn't use a flash and the lights over the counter top were subdued.
