scary sharp broadhead sharpener!!!

 you will need-1 sm. ceramic stick knife sharpener.
1 sm. block of wood say 3/4x2x6"
drill
drill bit same size as ceramic sticks. ABOUT 1/8"
hot melt glue.
6" pc belt leather.

remove the sticks from the plastic knife sharpener using a candle.
drill 2 holes in the middle towards one end of wood while its laying flat.  The 2 holes should be close and crisscross like they were in the knife sharpener at the same angle.  hot melt them in.  make sure they dont stick up to high or you won't be able to get the head through the sticks.  about 1/8" above the x.
Now you should have about 5" of wood to hold on to.
glue the leather on the bottom, this is for deburing the edge, and makes them razor sharp!
Just have a short pc of arrow to use as a handle for the broadhead.
drag it through till it shaves hair, then debur.
I have used this for many years.  It works for all broadheads even replacable blades, just use hemostats to hold the single blade.

You can still use it to sharpen you knife too.

Be carful! they will be very sharp.

I have tried just about everything to sharper heads, blades, knives and such, but I never could get hair to jump off my arm like this method does.  I know its just me, cuz I know all the other ways work well.  I showed this to all the guys at deer camp, and everybody used it. 
som used it to sharpen thumderhead type blades, They all said it was awsom! And where could they buy one? lol. you can't lol some more. I think I bought the plastic knife sharpener at KMart 3.00 bucks.

I duded mine up a bit. I used oak for the block and rounded the corners off with router then painted it wrinkle black. It looks like molded plastic.

Just had brainstorm...... You could use piece of one of them synthetic cutting boards maybe?

Maybe my new business?? Duh! Now I can dump my singing career.

I don't believe you can really sharpen broadheads. Some folks can do it some can't, I am one of those who can't.

If you use grizzlies, The KME "Knife" sharpener is the ticket, I can shave with the grain when I'm done.
I use the model with the stones rather than the diamonds. Be carefull.
