If this is the one with the 20 inch barrel and 33 inches overall, I have this rifle in both .22 Hornet and .223. I have short arms for a person my size so the short stock works excellent for me and is easy to manuver in a vehicle or in a stand. I got the Hornet the year NEF quit making it in this model and the .223 right after that. I have had both 2 or 3 years and can say nothing but great things about either. I've killed whitetail with neck shots with the Hornet and Whitetail and Axis with the .223, also wth neck shots. The accuracy of both of these weapons is excellent at 100 yards, the longest I've used them for. The accuracy may be good out further, but the longest I've used either is 100 yards. I have been so impressed with these little guns I may get the .243 in this same barrell & overall length.

Thanks, and while not legal or general hunting, I have no doubts about how lethal even an ordinary .22 long rifle is on deer-providing you stick to under 50 yard neck/head shots[the natives have been doing it for years up here and an old Indian I know has taken over 30 big bucks all with one shot kills].So,I am thinking of getting a superlight  in 223-and  have complete confidence that if you pick your shots  use a rest, and have  a scope your buck will drop in its tracks.Another old guy I knew used a BRNO .22 hornet and shot hundreds of deer-he was employed by a forestry company to cull deer that were devastating the new plantings
