Thank you, we have all that here in Minn,,Dry winters? you bet-cha',,Cold and temp swings? Oh ya. I've been out to the range in the cold alright, we here upnorth fellers have learned to leave'm in the case for awhile so it warms gradual, but that don't mean it doesn't change.
I'm guessing it was a combo of both, there is/was a washer in there. TY for the tip gcrank, I found the torque at 25-30 and that's about what I giv'er.
I'll give it a good going over with the liquid polish I use, and thanks for the reminder, I should get all of'm out and give the wood a little tlc. That'll keep me busy a couple a nights. I think I'll get a long artists type brush I have and reach down in that deep stock bolt hole and let that soak some up, it looks untreated.
