For used weapons you can check out the online auction sites.  I've had very good luck but it may take some time until what your looking for at a reasonable price is offered.  I bought a M54 Winchester with a vintage Lyman All-American scope in weaver mounts(post and crosswire) in great restored shape a couple of years ago.  It's a 250 and accuracy is great..  As for as new Ruger cataloged rifles in 250 in several models, although I find no currently manufactured models.  Reminfton made the 250 in a 'clasic' which they make for 1 year and the caliber changes each year.  Many older Savage, Remington, Winchester, and Ruger rifles were chambered for the 250 cartridge.  It's great little round although even a 257 Roberts may be a bit easier to find....

Ruger chambered them for a while, Remington chambered it as the classic in 1984, and Savage made a limited run of the 111 (right and left handed) in the 90's.

I have the 111 in .250 Savage.   Nice little catridge.

They are hard to find.   I finally bought a Model 7 Remington that had been rebarreled with a fluted Shilin match grade barrel in 250-3000.  Has the brown laminated stock.  Now I have to decide whether I'm going to get it punched out to Ackley or now.  Have had good luck with the 250 in the 99's I've had, also with the Savage 1920 and the one I never should had sold a Winchester 54. Keep looking and you will find something.

Dear 308 WCF,
If you are lucky enough to find one you`ll enjoy it immensly! If, however, you end up having to have one built I would strongly recommend the Ackley version as it is MUCH easier on the brass. I built mine a long time ago and it has NEVER let me down. Extremely accurate and as fast as any 257 Rob even with a little 21" barrel. I have several pages of loading data for the AI if you ever need it.

I have one for sale now on GunsAmeica. It is a beautifull 1975 Ruger model 77. One owner rifle, very sweet!
