I've had a couple of these over-unders, and still have a couple of side-by-sides made by the same company, Baikal.  They aren't the prettiest guns in the world, but they are rugged as the T34 tanks that probably were recycled to make them from. It appears that Remington merely bought the importation rights from EAA for these products, stamped their logo on them, and raised the price by a hundred bucks or so before putting them on the market.  I've used my 12 on trap at my club every week for about 6 or 7 years now, and it's never had a single problem.  I can't say the same for some of the more expensive brands that you see on most trap and skeet ranges.  These Russian-made guns are a good value for the buck if you want something reliable and rugged.  A caution to left handed shooters, though--all of them, to some degree or other have stocks that are cast for a right-handed shooter.  Look at the gun from the buttstock forward before plunking your money down if you're a lefty like me.  If the stocks aren't bent too much you can sand them down to fit you--and you won't cry as much about it as you would doing that to a Citori, Ruger, or one of the other more pricey brands.  Like I say--they aren't the prettiest, but in my experience they are darn reliable and rugged.

I agree with the above post I think they are pretty good for the money from what I have seen.I have a stoeger I came upon privately and for what I paid it's not a bad gun and I think the rem is heavier built.
