My hunting is on hold until after Friday. I have lost a lot of hunting time to family needs. My freezer is empty!

I'm back in off the road until after the New Year. I've got 2 does and 1 bear in the freezer so far. My daughter also put a spike buck in the freezer. I'll try again after Christmas on Saturday. By the way, Merry Christmas to everyone out there. I hope Santa brings you everything you want ;D. Lonnie.

I am still here. Got an invite to go for hogs next week end. Waiting for the rain to stop for a day or so to go fishing. Every time I think I will go coyote hunting something comes up to cancel it.

Well we went out for hogs this past weekend. Lonnie can now be called "Hogman" as he finally got a small one. I got to try out the small camper I bought for hunting and fishing. Had a grand time as the weather was great. Came home to rain on Sunday and snow this morning. I am thinking the next trip will be fishing, maybe trout. Still looking for a .22mag lever action.

I usually start fishing the caney in june when the bass fishing starts getting tougher and it starts getting really hot on the lakes.

When do they start the weekly stocking of the tellico?  I heard they only do that from late spring until early fall.  I used to go there about once a year or so with my family and stay at the green cove motel.  You definately don't want to oversleep on saturday morning.

Jim,
Stocking will start in the spring. We like to go in the Cherokee Nationak Forest. Try north of the Cherohala Skyway. Some of the streems still have wild trout in them. They also stock some of them. I have also cought smallies in some. Stop by the ranger station an get a map from them. I think it cost $15 but is well worth it. They have some great camping spots in the area. We go in the fall and camp to hunt bear and do some fishing also.

White bass should start running soon in the Caney Fork.
