Some of my Marlins

From top to bottom.  1991 .35 Remington, 1983 .30-30 with soon to be swapped out Redfield 3-9X40, 1969 Glenfield 30 in .30-30 with Bushnell Banner 1.5-4.5X32, 1980 .444 that was covered in paint when I got it.

Very nice collection of Marlins you have Swampman.  Did the top rifle come with the nice wood, or did you restock it?

It came that way.  I bought it off GunsAmerica last week.  It came with almost 4 boxes of factory ammo which really sweetened the deal.

Swampman...Yes indeed, some nice marlins.  I can see from your "range" shot that you exercise them as well.  How are you fixed for Marlin 22 rimfires?

I see you use my type of rest for shooting, is that deer corn, that is what we use, Nice bunch of marlins. I have been looking for a 357 to go with mine but so far have not found one in my price range :)

My rest is filled with little styrofoam pellets from a bean bag chair.  I've had it about 30 years.  Corn is a good idea.

From top to bottom, .444P, 1894 CBII in .44mag, and 336 CS in .35 Rem..

Quite a nice array of Marlins Boys. I was always a Winchester man with my model 88 and 94, but just outta curiousity i picked up my 1st  Marlin last August, a 336/30-30 with smooth wood, I liked it soo much that i also picked up an 1895/45-70. Now I want to get a .44mag and a .22
I just had a Pal offer his 450 to me as he said it did`nt fit into his cowboy gun class.....he better give me a good deal  ;)
Right on Boyz.


PS: I never thought a scope should go on a lever until I got my Marlin, to me it was pure blaspemy....not anymore  ;D

Huntsman1,  I began with a Winchester 94 (30-30) when I was really young, and my brother began with a Marlin 336.  I thought only the Winchester was a true old west gun,  but as I found out later, that wasn't true.  + the 94 I had must have been during bad years or something as it developed problems with cases splitting and would not group.  It was sold, and I have only 3 Marlins so far.  Honestly, I like them all, but prefer the Marlins..

You make me cry! Beautiful rifles sir!! I only have two Marlin Lever rifles. a 30-30 and a 444. I Love them both.

The most accurate is the Glenfield 30.  My favorite is the .35 Remington because I love the cartridge & it's the best looking, but I want to work with the .444 more.  For some reason it just feels right.

my  first  big  rifle  was a  35  like that
always  wanted another
recently  found  a deal  on  one
the  444 has always fascinated  me
then  i got  the  45-70
if  your  goinna  go  big  might as well go  real  big

i  love  those  WFN  280grain  in  my  44 mag
would  love to push  them  with  a 444
might  just  get  a scope ready handi 444  to scratch  the itch
