acc barrel program
« on: December 18, 2009, 05:03:45 PM »
has nef changed their policy? ijust read 1987 and newer with a h or n prefix. i remember calling them in march 2009 and they said they could not fit a 45-70 to my frame.  i have an h prefix bought in 91.

They won't fit the 45-70 barrel to an SB1 frame if that's whatcha got. What are both prefix letters?

L = 1997, they'll only fit 357mag, 44mag and shotguns barrels to it, see the FAQs.

What about em? The FAQs lists the mfr year for them too, it could be made in Gardner MA or Ilion NY, it was made May 2008 or later.

been there done that. had no problems with the fitting on grandaughters 223 but had a heck of a time with a n already worked down too much bbl for mine . it was way too loose and  shimmed till i was blue in the face.. it really needed to be built up with welds then worked back down with a bridgeport.  postman  took it and i have nt seen or heard of it since.
