40% Off MSRP with S&W For MIL & LEOs??
« on: December 15, 2009, 12:38:48 AM »
I just read where a guy says it's true & confirmed, the 40% off with S&W. He said you have to order from the S&W LE/Mil supply chain. I don't know the details but it may be worth checking out for some. I also have not confirmed this myself.

Just for grins I sent an e-mail to check on this. I also noticed that their MSRP is so high that 40% off it may not be a big deal. I'll bet you can get 20% off easily anyway without much effort. They have a good spread between the MSRP & what they usually sell for.

The details of this offer were sent to me through official channels via my chain of command.  I believe that it is probably legit but I found as you did that MSRP is highway robbery so the 40% off probably only gets you a marginal discount over actual retail.  Still, a discount is a discount.

I got an e-mail back from S&W. He said it was for real, but off MSRP. He went on to say if one bought from a police supply store, like Streichers(sp) here in WI you would get about the same deal. So with the high MSRP & after jumping through a bunch of hoops, it may not be that great after all.

A guy I know who is retired army told me that he found out about this deal and was expecting his wife to order an S&W AR15 for him for Christmas.  She was supposed to use his military id or something to get the discount.  He dropped hints and thought she was just being coy about his new gun when she didn't seem to know what he was talking about.  He opened his presents on Christmas morning(socks, shirts, ties and other items of that ilk) and finally asked his wife if there were any more presents around.  She said no, and he finally asked her if she had ordered his discount priced rifle for him.  No, she hadn't.  According to him the offer ended on Dec. 31st so he feels like he missed out.  Now I wonder why he didn't just go order a rifle for himself on the 26th or 27th?

If anone is inetrested, I know a dealer in south central PA who sells "Green Tag" Glocks to LEO's.  My understanding is no tax, and a slightly lower price then offered to the Public.

Glock has 1 or 2 buys allowed per year below stocking dealer price to M&P just emial or call about it and they will send paperwork. The S&W sale ended Dec 31 and was Active Duty & Retired only and a different program from their LEO program although it about same pricing I think.

Here is info I was given from individual in direct charge of these sales. I am waiting now for a new ($782) M-41 7" barrel to arrive at local friends gun shop some time around the end of this month or early February. The 40% is below (about 10%) what your local dealer will most likely be able to buy the gun. I know what dealer cost is due to close friend who owns a gun shop. This is close (2 or 3%) to what large wholesale/Retailer like Zanders or Davidsons will pay.

Your card will be charged when your order is ready to ship.  Keep an eye out on our website.  There will be another type of program listed some time next year.
