This may have been discussed before, if so got a link?
Has anyone tried both and noticed much if any differance? I'm still swapping barrels on one frame so it's kinda an issue.
I'm currently useing the O-ring set-up, with the set screw in the forearm post to maintain the same torque each time, I have the fore arm set to just barley hanging on buy itself with no screw. And there is no forearm contact with the barrel, a paper strip slides freely.
I guess I'm fairly content with the accuracy I'm getting with the 223 (5/8-3/4" at 100)( still room to tune the handloads). But I'd like to squeeze every bit out it I can, I have another forearm coming from a member here, so each barrel will at least have it's own dedicated forearm. The other is a 7-08 that I haven't loaded for yet.
I've got all the info from the faqs here and it's all really helped! I'm just wondering if the RTV is a gain over the O-ring.
Thanks for any and all comments, John
