I just read and article the other day by a Speer ballistic lab guy that the pistol primers are more accurate than small rifle primers in the Hornet. That would be worth a try for wringing out the last bit of accuracy.

That ugly magazine that sticks out of the bottom of many CZ rifles has kept me from buying one. I like the set trigger but cannot get past the magazine.
Here in woodchuck country many are shot by using the pickup hood as a rest. I have a friend that put a very nice scratch in his hood when hurrying to get a shoot at a woodchuck running for his hole. Reason enough for me not to buy a CZ.

In the left hand column click on price list and scroll almost all the way to the bottom.

It is a single shot follower that fits flush to the bottom of the stock. I am going to get one for my C-Z 527 .204 Ruger. I never load the magazine anyway.

My buddy has taken a dremel tool to several cz's and has shortened the magazine and knocked the ears off the trigger gaurd. He does a really good job but I just cant bring myself to put mine under the dremel tool.

Hi NSA! Can you see how many fingers I am holding up?

I was quoted $650 cash out the door or starting at $750 with trade on a CZ American in .22 Hornet. And $625 for a Ruger in target grey with a liminate stock, here in Kansas within the last 10 days. The price of the CZ's has really jumped, so I'm told. Your price sounds about right to me, with what I've seen and heard.

It's the dollar/euro exchange rate that's different and changing, not for the better either.

I have had a Model 40 for the last 2 years and consider it an excelent value for the money .It is on the heavy side of a walking gun but take a look at what they are selling for Predator rifles . Short action , heavy barreled Model 110 's . It would be nice if they would make a liter barreled version and magazine  would be nice as well . I also have the 527 and it shoots well bet the reverse safety is a safety hazard if you ask me . The set trigger is very cool !

I'd rather have a used 340 in hornet than a new 40, they are both ugly but at least you can easily rebarrel the 340 or 342 plus they are magazine fed.

The dollar has been steadily gaining on the Euro all year, so I don't know what you're talking about.
