I am buying a S&W 624 44 special with a 4" barrel. Can anyone tell what factory loads are good for practice? defense? Thanks!!!

My favorite 44 Spl load is the Speer Blazer, with the aluminum case and the 200 grain Gold Dot hollow point.

The only factory .44 spl I have used is the Winchester cowboy stuff.  Don't remember if its 200 or 240 grain lead, but it did shoot clean and accurate in my guns.

I keep a couple boxes of the rem with I think a 240 gr hollowpoint lead bullet.
They shoot real nice through my 624 6" and recoil in minimal.
