Depends on which BC sight comes on your barrel, H&R has been real fickle about putting the same sight on em, they should come with a .494" Lyman 17 front sight, but many, too many, come with the 38-55 .584" sight instead, the .494" will work for short to mid range, but most like the .404" as an option for long range shooting, this is pretty well covered in the FAQs.
