Here is how it turned out. I used gloss urethane,it was to glossy so I burnished it with 0000 steel wool, that was the trick. ;) Now it matches the H&R for-end quite well.  26-t         photo#18 is before the steel wool treatment.

That's what Boyd's calls em, they come unfinished just like GSI stocks.
