E-Z Pull trigger assist
« on: November 22, 2009, 11:08:34 AM »
I just found this posted over at Predator Masters, and one guy has one on his .204 Ruger and .243 Win Handi Rifle frame.  I did not see this posted in the FAQ section so I thought I would post this up here since trigger work gets posted every now and then.

I have one on a Mossberg 640KD Chuckster 22WMR. The trigger on it is horrible, with no easy way of fixing. The E-Z Pull did reduce the trigger pull considerably. It also introduces creep and it takes up space in the trigger guard. So much space I can barely get my bare finger in there to pull the trigger. On some guns, there is more room and might work out better, but no matter what there will not be much room for a gloved finger and you are going to get a bunch of creep. I personally think you would be much better off doing a trigger job that is outlined in the FAQ. You are going to get a light enough trigger, much less creep and more room for your finger. Good Luck and Good Shooting

Thanks Tim, you can just delete this post then as its already been covered, and pretty much answered my questions anyway.

It's still informative for those that don't know, someone with little fingers that can't do or get a trigger job done may find it useful.  ;)

My friend Dennis has one on his Mod.70 win 30-06. It works well
and he likes it. I tried it and found it ok. With the follow through on the Handi it may give trouble.

Myself I do all my own trigger jobs, and rarely use any after market triggers. I recently bought a Kepplinger single set trigger
for a Ruger#1 and found it just so-so. Had to a lot of fitting and
work to make it the way it supposed to work. Lost the settings ones and had to take everything appart again and coat the setting with two part epoxy.

Not what you would expect from a $250 after market trigger.
I reworked some #1 triggers that surpass the Kepplinger.
