Shot my friends Raging Bull in 454 Casull today. Fun to shoot, not too bad in accuracy dept. I shot well with it, but the owner has trouble being consistent with the gritty, creepy, stiff trigger. Any suggestions on action jobs or spring replacement? Anyone have any experience with these actions or can suggest someone who slicks these up?

Say what? I own two and have had dealings with others. Triggers are as good as it gets from the factory. If his isn't he needs to talk with Robert in Customer Service at Taurus at 1-800-327-3776. First one I've heard of that needed such work really. They will fix it fine under warranty.

Well I guess it happens to this best of us....GTS. Gritty trigger syndrome. We can't really expect every firearm mass produced to have a trigger that is silky smooth & break like glass, that would be a fairy tale, albeit a great one. However it's not that hard to take care of that yourself with a dremel tool, a Wolffe spring kit (www.gunsprings.com) & a healthy heaping of common sence. Just find a schematic on the internet of the inner workngs of the gun for reference & when your comfortable tearing it down & putting it back again (may take a few times to get comfortable) add the new springs of your liking-don't be tempted to stop here though- the light springs will magnify your grit. Simply stone & polish with the dremel tool to your liking. Try to stay away from the single action sear part though unless you are feeling adventures. Just concentrate on making the metal to metal contacting parts look like mirrors & soft as a baby's...well. You should be very pleased & proud of the new revolver you'll now own, and find it very pleasing to shoot. You could try to send it back but what pride would that bring-if they even do anything at all; it did pass factory inspection once after all.

My Taurus RB was made in 1999. Came with a factory 6.75# trigger pull in single action mode(yes that's right, single action). It was truly the "all day pull". Brought it down to a 3.5# pull and now I have something that doesn't allow me blame it on the gun any longer.
