Ball Park Estimate for a FBI Commemerative????
« on: October 19, 2003, 03:20:04 AM »
My uncle is a retired FBISA and asked me what it's worth.  I did not get the model but it's a Smith & Wesson revolver 357 mag, with about a 6 in barrel, unfired and in perfect shape.  I havent seen the gun so indeed more info is needed, but just looking for a ball park estimate.

rconnely :  Here is a quote from the Blue Book of values!  (  During the past several decades, hundreds of limited editions have been ordered through various police agencies, state highway patrol units, and other law enforcement organizations.  Many of these do not have the special suffix serialization, and may not have had a retail price when issued.  Since most of these special editions were made for a specific organization reginal demand has a lot to do with determining values, while these guns do have a special interest, they do not have the collectability or desirability of many of the standard models listed below.)  With that said if you can get the model # we can get you a $ value on it.  And of course S&W may be able to assist you on that one. :D   JIM
