I saw it. I don't care for Ohpra but I thought she was pretty fair in her questions.Palin did side step a few ?, mainly about Levi. All in all was a very good interview. Ohpra pushed her (Palin) book a lot.

Was one of the questions, "You walked out on your state in order to make more money for yourself.  Explain?"

She's done as a national political figure.

That question has been answered several times.  All the bogus ethics charges being filed against her was costing Alaska a bundle and keeping her from concentrating on her gubernatorial duties.   Every good basketball player knows when to continue their drive into the lane and when to pass the ball.

But I don't think those basketball players ever walk off the floor and quit the game...

I get that some people will make excuses for her because she's a folksy conservative babe...

Unless you were here (in Alaska)to see how bad she was being hit by those ethics complaints you can not understand just how bad it was.  She flat could not do her job.  The state was suffering because of it, and she knew it.  The only way to stop the people that were doing it was for her to resign.  Our Legislator had just passed the ethics bill, never thinking of someone using it as a tool to get rid of the Governor.  Now the Legislature is looking at reforming the ethics system.

We Alaskans do not resent her stepping down we understand why she did it, and while we did not want to see it happen, we excepted it.    Too bad the rest of the nation can't see past that.  Those that can not are awfully short sighted.  We (Alaskans) are the ones affected, we  accept it, why can't the rest of the people that were not affected?

At least she would not bow to the Saudi King.

Where is old Joe when we really need him?  Alaska Independence    Calling Illegal Immigrants "Undocumented Aliens" is like calling Drug Dealers "Unlicensed Pharmacists"
What Is A Veteran?
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.

i certainly would not count her out..the reaction of the far left to her shoes that they sure do not. she scares them and scares them awfully bad. why? because she immeadiately struck a cord with a lot of americans..definately middle class middle american values and a isncerity and honesty that they were attracted to.

her certainly bad interviews and her lack of knowledge of the political landscape which led the left to say she was stupid was just why most liked her. she had not been tainted as all the rest were with the washington corruption.

sourdough speaks with knowledge of why she resigned. she showed that she really did have the best interest of alaska in her heart. unlike the washington crowd as we have all seen will only let go of their office and the money that goes with it when they are dead or forced out by scandle or voted out.

and did i mention that she is one good looking woman and shows not only that she is a common everyday person with a common every day family that has "CLASS"

most people would much rather she be in the white house simply for those reasons rather than the classless sour hateful michell obama.

Sourdough:
Your explanation of why she stepped down is exactly the answer she gave Ohpra when asked about it. I think she was sincere in her answer. The Liberal news media will not leave her alone!!! I believe (hope) she comes back and slaps them right in the face!!!!

She's done as a national political figure.

She answered that question  and did a good job of it. The people filing charges and contesting everything she did was bringing Alaskan government to a halt so she ended all the controversy by resigning. Seems to me she did the right thing for her people.
