there is just something about an old single shot that makes squirrel hunting
so much more fun. My Winchester 67 using Flobert BB caps still drops em'

:) Howdy!  I had an uncle years ago that was one super outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing.  He used a single shot 22 and mostly used shorts.  He always got lots of squirrel when he went hunting. I hunted and fished with him and my cousins a few times.  Gosh, I really miss those good times!  Enjoy your 22 rifle and good hunting!  Always, Gene

Happy Trails!

You got to love those old single shot 22s

CB’s work pretty good with headshots on squirrels
A few years ago I had a problem with them gnawing and getting into the attic.
So for a few weeks in the winter, any squirrel on the roof was taken out with a 1890 Winchester and CBs-worked good! Since then we’ve gotten two cats who patrol the roof. So the 1890 hasn’t had much to do!

I started hunting with the single shot M-67 Winchester . Used shorts and took many a squirrel . An excellent rifle for a kid to learn to hunt and shoot . Passed it to my nephew in the mid sixties and he learned with it .

Great memories with that old rifle .
