It's in .308 and came with two magazines but, when I got it home I found that one of the magazines was a .308 and the other a .284. Both are original factory Winchester mags. Any one have any idea what the .284 mag would be worth? Better to go to a home where it can be used, and offset my purchase amount.

Are you sure the 284 won't work with 308?

AFAIK, The mags are different - besides which, I would think someone with a .284 would more appreciate a like-marked magazine.
.284 Win 100 mags sell for about 30% more than a same-condition mag marked ".243-.308" - or, about $70 vs $50.
