Look at the Nikon 2.5x8 EER.  My favorite variable power scope.  Quick focus eyepiece, crystal clear.

I've had both. The Bushnell was very clear, nice scope for the price, BUT, the field of view is much smaller than the Burris. Burris is nice and clear and very good field of view, only problem is the eye relief becomes critical when set at the highest power. The tradeoffs ( eye relief, field of view )are much more apparent in long eye relief handgun scopes than rifle scopes. If you can afford a new Burris, I'd consider looking around for a nice used Leupold 2.5-8, nice field of view as well as good eye relief.

No personal experience with the Bushnell, but I have had a lot of Burris #200293's (and still have a couple).     They are great all-around scopes that fill the bill for many uses.   I've used them for big and small game hunting, for predator hunting, shooting IHMSA big and small bore matches, and this older model 2-7 will take the punishment of handcannons quite well.   Assume the newer model 2-7's would be about the same other than maybe the last one.

Never got around to trying any Nikon IER/EER's, but their UCC Monarch rifle scopes impressed me years ago and I started buying them instead of Leupolds, etc for my rifles.    Had several Leupold pistol scopes at one time, but liked the Burris scopes better so they replaced them.   Have heard good things about the Bushnell from folks who have them.

For the 7-30 barrel... a Burris 2-7 or 3-9 are solid choices, but so are all the others probably.

Evolution at work. Over two million years ago the genus Homo had small cranial capacity and thick skin to protect them from their environment. One species has evolved into obese cranial fatheads with thin skin in comparison that whines about anything and everything as their shield against their environment. Meus

Both are good scopes but the eye relief is better on the Bushnell. If you're putting it on a handgun that really bucks this would be a factor. Last few I've put on a heavy recoiling handgun have been Bushnell. No problems at all.
