Kimber 84. Which version is it?
« on: October 30, 2009, 05:28:20 PM »
Just got a Kimber serial prefix is SSV.  It is in 223, single shot.  Barrel is stainless, fluted and 24 inches long.  Marked as a model 84.  It has a wide beavertail forend that rebates sharply to a slimmer profile.  Anyone know anything about this one?

It is a few years old model 84M SSV (stainless steel varmint) - probably has a 4 digit serial number. It was optioned with a Claro Walnut stock in and 223 REM. Stock looks like the ones Weatherby uses for the sub MOA's except is is nice wood. LOP 13 5/8" . Sell for about $1000 - 1200 on used market.

Thanks Saltydog.  I was curious cause I had never seen that stock profile.  It sure is a good shooter.

I have one also. Good shooter. I bought it used and I've had it for about 10 or 12 years now if my memory is working correctly (which it doesn't do often).

Macphoto,

Sounds like a Kimber of Oregon rifle.  Not like the 84M from Kimber America.
