New Barrel Much Better!

Got my .44 mag back. Had opportunity to shoot it at 50 yds. Shoots 240 gr. jhp into 1-2 inches. Sighted it about 2" high at that distance. Should be good to go for deer. Most of my shots are under 75 yds. Would really like to shoot it on a 100 yd. range, but won't be able to prior to season here in Indiana.

This barrel slugs at .432 but seems to shoot jacketed OK. I hope to find a cast load that will shoot good. I have a Ranch Dog mold that drops a tad over .432.

Now I know ya got an older take off barrel, but sounds like it shoots good, Pete has one that's .434" that shoots good too.  ;)
