It's a toss up between my three 45-70s and my three 204s.
During the deer season it's the 45-70, during the varmint season it's the 204.
The others do or will get used all along the way also.

45-70 BC, 30-30, 44 mag.

But the BC is so far ahead of all the others it is an unfair contest.

.357 Max (even when it was just a wee mag)

The .44 mag might get close someday, but I've only shot it once so far.

The .223 barrel I had was the worst, tons of extraction issues. (even after I sent it in for repair)

Jerry, all you poachers like the Hornet ;D :D ;) ;D :D ;)

Seriously, since I'm not reloading yet, I like my .357 Max best for all round versatility, followed by my .45-70 for long range accuracy.  I haven't received my .445 Super Magnum ammo from Reeds yet, so I don't know where that will fit in.  Reeds were waiting for bullets from Hornady the last time I checked a couple of weeks ago.  I think I'll ding them today and find out if they have a shipping date yet.  Rifle deer opens Nov 15 here.......not much time left to prove the load.

PETE!....you so funny.  But really if the hornet is loaded with barnes triple shock It will kill anything I hunt here at resonable ranges.  I JUST LOVE MY HORNET!  ;)  And it just loves to shoot anything I feed it.

All around use , the 44 mag with the survivor stock does what I want and is my go to Handi.. I am considering a 308 bull barreled survivor at a local shop just to be able to use all the .308 projetiles and 308 i have ... That would be a good all around caliber from varmint all the way up to elk ( which we have in Arkansas )

Well, I own 4, 45-70 Gov't handi rifles, and am going to get a 45-70 buffalo classic put on lay-away next Tuesday, but as far as accuracy and a joy to reload and shoot, I like my 30-30 the best.  Second place is a tie between any 45-70 and the .270 Ultra-Comp it just "feels" right in my hands and on my shoulder.

I spent the most money on the Ultra Comp and the most money on it's scope and rings as well.
