A local gun store wants 290 for a new one .
Those that have had  one for awhile how do you like it ?
I plan on using mild loads .A 158 gr I have a millon of these SWC , with  or  3.5  gr of unique or 2.5  gr of Bullseye .How would this little gun hold up  to about 50  to 100 rounds a week .Thanks .

I'd have to say hell ya!  Any revolver chambered in .357 (short of some claped out pile of %&*! or a cheap chinese import) will hold up to sub 20,000 psi loads all day long without missing a beat-buy it shoot it-carry it(with a CCW permit of course) every trigger pull makes you better & any Taurus will serve you well.  Also know that Taurus has a great repair policy-if it breaks they will fix it-they or any other reputable arms maker can't afford a unsafe gun in use with their name on it-not in this sue happy world.  $290 sounds like a fair price if in good shape.

This is just this guy's opinion.
Shoot safe & keep 'em tight!

onthetractat1645, The 85 is a 38spl. But its still a well made pistol. I have an 85CH that I have put many hot 38 rounds through with out any problems. $290 would depend on which 85 your looking at. Their web sight list a bunch of different ones. I paid $210 for my SS Hamerless about 5yrs ago.  KN
