She is well spoken. I have no idea of the politics of Nevada--on the surface I would think that the close proxcimity to California may have some influence it would also seem that the state history would make it conservative---then there is the issues with gambleing and legalized prostitution that cloud the issues.
I hope she is correct and that it is not just political rhetoric.
Blessings

It really shows when someone enjoys their work and knows they are doing the right thing . She would work well with Sara when they both get to DC.
If ya can see it ya can hit it !

Harry has no real competition so far. I know Sue too well, She won't get much support from the Republicans. She is as crooked as a dogs hind leg.

The other runners (and I know them all) don't have much chance. Sharon Angle will get my vote if I am selected again as a State Republican Delegate.

Gaming and Prostitution are favored by more than 80 percent of the voters. Tourism is our Cash Cow so any intervention in that arena won't be tolerated by the voters.

My prediction is that the old Mormon Boy will return to Washington. >:( >:(

 Will;
  Of course, I don't know Nevada as you do, but if Sue is as crooked as you say, wouldn't Reid's crookedness cancel out her's in an election cycle?
      Is Reid a Mormon? If so, I rather wonder how his actions are justified in other Mormon's minds. It would seem that his land shenannigans and his "don't take any prisoners" attitude toward pre-born boys & girls and currying favor with the abortion industry, would make him unpalatable to them.
   At the moment, there seem to be too many Republicans in the field. Will they get that settled, or will they trudge on with a split vote?
  One on one with Reid would be a tough contest for any candidate, without some conservatives voting for a "fifth wheel, can't win".

PETE
You and I both know that a Church affiliation to one is not the same to another.
"I was raised" is not the same as a spiritual raising.
This land is so full of crooks, wannabe's, self absorbed individuals that I am suprised that God has not rid Hisownself of all of us just to make sure He get all of them. That is a little farfetched---I hope you get the drift.
How are you and all doing?
My fginers ctan'n find the rite keys this AM. :D
Blessings

Ironglow;

Of course time will tell if my prediction is correct, but at this point I don't think most Nevadans are aware of how Harry has changed over the years. Secondly, most folks don't know that Nevada never completed a State Republican Convention in the last election due to Sue and her friends.

Nevada is a Purple State, not red, not blue. Very strong Libertarian leaning so Rep or Dem means little.

Harry was a long time friend/associate of mine but no longer. I have not seen or spoken to him in several years. He is a changed person and has lost some support. His alliance with Pelosi (who I also know but can't stand) has pulled him way left of center, a position he used to take. Harry will get a lot of support from the LDS folks in the Southern part of the State. (Clark County has 85 percent of the population and bunches of Mormons) He will also get the support of the transplanted California Liberals, the DNC, the anti Yucca Mountain crowd and the low income earners. Another concern that Nevadan's have is who replaces Harry as Senior Senator in Washington? Would it be the young Lady from California that we all know and love?

At the last Nevada Primary Romney took first place, Paul second place and McCain third. After the Primary but before the Convention, Romney withdrew so that put Paul first and McCain second. When I and many of the other Delegates walked in the Convention room we were shocked to see nothing but McCain banners.  It was as if Paul never existed. Sue Lowden was Republican State Chair and she ordered all Ron Paul items removed. Then we had to listen to all the Guest Speakers and there were many, but not McCain. A show of hands later in the day showed two thirds of the delegates in support of Paul. In a nutshell Sue said McCain was the winner and none of the Ron Paul delegates were allowed to go to the National Convention.

Is the Republican Party broken in Nevada? Just a little.

  Will;
   I see what you mean. I guess I would have been irate also, had I gone to a convention to find the candidate chosen by the people virtually shut out. I believe liberals can do that easier than conservatives; a good conscience wouldn't allow such tactics.

  Bill;
   I sure do get the drift of what you're saying..not all are the same...and just because someone was "raised" a certain way doesn't prove a thing. It must be a correct , spiritual upbringing (Proverbs 22:6)
     I am doing quite well, despite a gall bladder removal a couple months ago. My wife Barbara, is having her health problems. Since I almost lost her on past Christmas day..respiratory arrest, followed by cardiac arrest (2 weeks intensive care)..now she is losing weight and can't seem to stop it. Assigned to take 4 tests to rule out cancer, she has come through 3 all proved negative. Prayers appreciated.
  I'm involved in project of building a house for a family with 2 very physically handicapped little boys. It is a joint effort between the local American Legionpost (mine) and my son's Christian youth ministry, and our church, which donated land right next door. These boys my live 20 years yet..may die next week. Their chromosonal deficiency is so rare, they are the only 2 in the US and possibly in the world.
  These two bright, cheerful boys never eat or drink, they do everything through the traches you see them wearing. Since their esophagus passages have been closed, they must be "suctioned" regularly (saliva etc can't go down). Their home air must be filtered and they sign to speak.
   Below, se a pic with their Mom visiting the jobsite. Their dad is a hard working man, ironically pours basements (as shown) for a living. You can see him in a tool belt in the far corner of the basement, behind them.

 Thanks Bill;
     That is why, even though I have lived in this general area most of my life and spent a 5 or 6 years in this hamlet previously, I came back here for my retirement years. Sure, as with any tiny town, we have a few deadbeats but there are darn few.
  A curious thing about tiny towns, everybody knows your business. If you live a decent, upstanding life it goes a long way. ...But if you are the other kind, that also is known and folks may require such a one to prove themselves.

She is a media queen...MSM is da devil. Would not vote for her. Any independents worth voting for. Time for a change from the D & R.
