Well, I have neglected to pick up a 45-70 yet (mea culpa!), but I have a hard time choosing between the 35 whelen I put together myself on an old Savage 110 action (and stock - back when they actually had pretty stocks like the ones that they used to put on the 99s), and the Rem 760 C that I had Wayne York rebore to 338-06 with a sweet new crown on it; or my old Marlin 35 Rem from back in the days when Marlin put on a more slender stock that looks a lot more like a Winnie; or the light and handi H&R 500 S&W magnum, that I finally did some Mcphersonizing on and shoots pretty darn straight....Decisions, decisions...decisions. I am downright glad to have to make them, though. Rich
