The best one to start with is the least expensive, the 200gr Rem ammo, then work your way up in price if that doesn't shoot good, use the FAQs info to get the best accuracy from the start to be conservative using that expensive stuff, the Hornady 200gr has been mentioned, of course a good choice is to handload for it, specially if you have someone that can help you get started, lots of help can be found in the Handloading forum here.  ;)

With my old one I've had good groups using Federal 225 trophy bonded bear claw. The new one bought this year will be using Hornady 200gr light magnums. Neither one likes remmingtons. the hornady's are about two hundred ft/sec faster.

Thanks for the replies. I'm not able to reload at this time. The new wife wants to start deerhunting and wants a new gun since I don't have one she can handle and a daughter that also wants a new gun to get started with. So I'll just stick with factory for now. I've read the faq's on number of occasions and will follow them. Guess a new handi will make a good three week anniversery gift.
